Emma Coronel has drawn quite a following since she first showed up at a New York City federal court in support of her husband, Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman.
The former beauty queen and the world's most infamous drug dealer are now being highlighted through a series of renderings that brings the couple to the animation world as Simpsons characters.
But it's Coronel, not El Chapo, who has become the focal point of Italian artist, Alexsandro Palombo's artistic vision.
'She has all the characteristics to be an iconic figure. Emma is a woman that I really like, she is strong and tenacious as only women can be in any situation, even the controversial ones,' Palombo told DailyMail.

The 45-year-old contemporary pop artist and activist went to great lengths to immortalize the Sinaloa Cartel leader's wife over a collection of drawings dubbed 'Queen Emma!'
'It takes a long time. It's not just about drawing,' Palombo said.
'The mind process is a huge part of the work, even if it looks 'easy'. Capturing the most iconic side of the characters that I decide to portray is the most difficult part.'
Palombo in the past used the original Simpsons characters to educate his followers about the Holocaust.
He's also immortalized Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and the marriage of George and Amal Clooney into their respective versions of the iconic animated comedy.
Palombo sets his latest couple outside the Brooklyn court, where camera persons have captured Coronel's every step of the way.

He dives into a personal side of Coronel and El Chapo, which has certainly been highlighted during the trial that began November 13.
El Chapo, whose request to hug it out with his wife in court was denied by the presiding judge, finally gets that chance, albeit through the illustration.
His right arm is flanked over the shoulder of Coronel, who's pictured showing off her curves in a tight dress.
The couple's seven-year-old twin daughters, who certainly lit up his day during their appearance at a trial hearing in December, appear alongside Coronel and her husband clutching Gucci handbags.
Palombo, who in 2015 presented a Simpsons-like characterization of El Chapo following his escape from a maximum security jail in Mexico, injects the likeness of President Donald Trump, who stands over a manhole while the drug kingpin peeks his head out.

The rest of the Palombo's Simpsons characterization is centered around the American-born Coronel, who met El Chapo as a teenage beauty queen in 2006 and married the narco-trafficker a year later.
Palombo sets the stylish Coronel in front of the courthouse wearing a number of designer pieces and even dresses her up as the Statue of Liberty.
Another illustration of Coronel places her in the front covers of the Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue and Forbes.
'Emma's figure goes beyond the sense of celebrity, her life puts her in a legendary dimension, hers and El Chapo's are legendary lives, good or bad,' Palombo said.
